Ctrl Alt makes it simple, transparent and secure for people to invest in the previously exclusive world of alternative assets - from property to green energy.
Ctrl Alt combines unique financial structuring with innovative technology to create the first fractionalised asset platform of its kind, registered with the Financial Conduct Authority. They are the first to ‘tokenise’ a house in the UK and have secured partnerships with some of Europe's large asset partners for supply and fintechs on the distribution.
Ctrl Alt team are raising a £2.5m Seed round at a £7.5m pre-money valuation led by Forward Partners and Middlegame Ventures. Founders Capital will be investing £50k.
The funding round will allow the team to bring more technology in-house with the product team moving to a lower cost centre in Ireland. This will unlock expansion to European customers. Funding will also be used to build out the API connectivity to distribution partners and continue their marketing efforts. The raise will give the team 24 months of runways (assuming no revenue), giving them ample opportunity to capture the market by fully exploiting their first mover positioning.
Ctrl Alt operates a B2B2C model in partnership with FinTech, Wealth Managers, Private Banks and other businesses that have a user base looking to access alternatives. The financial model is simple. Users are charged a 2% investment fee while 'Asset Partners' who supply the investments are charged 3% to list on the platform. For larger more institutional deals the fees are on a case by case basis.
